Traditional sewer repair requires excavating a trench the full length of the sewer lateral, typically 4 to 6 feet deep from the house to the street connection. In Paradise Valley, this trench often runs through or alongside the custom landscaping, hardscape, and property features that define these properties.
After the repair, surface restoration is required, and in Paradise Valley, restoration to the original standard means engaging the same landscape architects, stone suppliers, and hardscape contractors who installed it, at current rates.
Trenchless repair accesses the line from two small points. In most Paradise Valley properties, careful placement of these access points avoids all significant landscaping and hardscape. We repair or replace the pipe underground, leaving the surface above undisturbed.
When traditional repair is necessary, or when extreme offset or other constraints prevent a bursting head from passing through, we say so clearly before any commitment. The camera inspection determines what's possible for each specific property.
We approach Paradise Valley properties differently than standard residential jobs because the stakes for the property above the pipe are higher.
Step 1 — Camera inspection and property assessment: We start with a full sewer camera inspection to see exactly what's happening inside the line. We also discuss the property layout, landscaping, and any hardscape or features above the sewer line path before recommending access point locations. On Paradise Valley properties, we take more time in the planning stage to ensure access points are placed where they cause the least disruption.
Step 2 — Flat-rate quote before any commitment: Based on the camera findings and the access plan, we provide a complete flat-rate quote covering all work. If any portion of the line requires traditional access, such as a collapsed section that a bursting head can't pass through, we identify that in the quote before any work begins. No surprises.
Step 3 — Access point preparation: We establish two small access points, typically one at the house cleanout and one at the connection to the city main. On Paradise Valley properties with paved or hardscaped areas near access points, we take extra care to work precisely and restore any disturbed surface.
Step 4 — Pipe bursting or CIPP installation: We complete the repair underground. The pipe is replaced or lined without any excavation along the length of the lateral.
Step 5 — Post-repair camera inspection: A second camera pass confirms the repair is complete and the line is flowing correctly.
Step 6 — Documentation and warranty Written documentation of all work performed, materials used, and warranty terms is provided at job completion.
