DON'T LOSE A DAY TO A DEAD WATER HEATER

MOST REPAIRS ARE FASTER THAN YOU THINK.

A failing water heater isn't always a failing tank. Pilot lights, thermostats, heating elements, gas valves, and pressure relief valves are all parts that wear out and get replaced without touching the tank itself. Most of the time, what feels like "the water heater is dying" is actually a single component we can fix the same visit.

Patriotic Plumbing & Rooter has been repairing water heaters across Phoenix for over 20 years. We work on gas, electric, tankless, hybrid, and commercial units from every major brand. Whether you've got no hot water, a leak, a strange noise, or a tankless error code, we diagnose the actual problem and quote you before any work starts.

Reliable hot water by the end of the day. That's the goal. Our Phoenix techs carry the most common parts on every truck so we can usually get you back up and running in one visit.

COMMON WATER HEATER PROBLEMS WE FIX

No Hot Water at All

The most common call we get. On gas units, the fix is usually a thermocouple, gas control valve, or pilot ignition issue. On electric units, it's typically a tripped breaker, failed heating element, or thermostat. We diagnose first, then tell you exactly what failed and what the repair costs.

Pilot Light Won't Stay Lit

On gas water heaters, this is almost always a thermocouple, dirty pilot assembly, or vent draft problem. None of these require a new water heater. Common, inexpensive, and fixable in a single visit.

Water Heater Leaking

Where the leak is matters more than that there is one. Leaks at fittings, the drain valve, the cold-water inlet, or the pressure relief valve are routine repairs. A leak from the tank itself can't be patched and usually means it's time for a replacement. We'll tell you straight which one you've got.

Rusty, Discolored, or Smelly Hot Water

A corroded anode rod is a common cause and often replaceable on units that are otherwise in good shape. If the tank itself is rusting through, replacement is the smarter call. Hard water in Phoenix burns through anode rods faster than the national average.

Banging, Popping, or Rumbling Sounds

Sediment buildup at the bottom of your tank is almost always the cause. A full flush usually clears it. If the sediment has been there long enough to damage the heating element, that gets replaced too.

Tankless Error Codes

Tankless units throw error codes when something's off: flame failure, ignition issues, scale buildup, vent blockage, or condensate problems. We're trained on the major tankless brands and can pull the actual code, find the cause, and fix it.

Pressure Relief Valve Dripping

A faulty PRV can cause leaking, whistling, or hot water spilling outside the unit. It's a routine fix that doesn't require a new water heater.

Lukewarm Water Even on the Highest Setting

Could be a failed dip tube, a heating element on its way out, or a thermostat issue. We'll figure out which one and quote the repair.

Hot Water Runs Out Faster Than It Used To

On tank units, this is often sediment reducing your usable capacity, or a failed lower heating element on electric units. Both are repairable on units that aren't already past their lifespan.

WHEN REPAIR ISN'T THE RIGHT CALL

We'd rather lose a service call than sell you a repair on a unit that's about to fail anyway. If your water heater is over 10 years old, leaking from the tank itself, or breaking down repeatedly, we'll tell you straight that a water heater replacement is the smarter long-term move.

We'll never push a replacement when a repair makes sense. We'll never sell you a repair when the unit's already past saving. Honest answer, every time.

WATER HEATER REPAIR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

How fast can you come out for a water heater repair?

We offer same-day service for most repair calls in the Phoenix Valley. For after-hours or weekend emergencies, our 24/7 line gets you in the queue right away.

How much does water heater repair cost in Phoenix?

It depends on what's failed. Simple repairs like thermocouples and heating elements are on the lower end. Gas valves, control boards, and tankless component replacements run higher. We give a flat-rate quote upfront before starting any work, so you always know the cost before you commit.

Do you repair tankless water heaters?

Yes. We service Navien, Rinnai, Noritz, Rheem, and Bradford White tankless units. Common tankless repairs include flushing for scale buildup, flame sensor replacement, ignition module work, and vent issues. We can also pull and decode error codes on most units.

Is it worth repairing an older water heater?

Depends on the unit and the repair. A thermocouple swap on an 8-year-old tank usually makes sense. A control board on a 12-year-old tank usually doesn't. We'll give you the math both ways and let you decide.

Can a leaking water heater always be repaired?

No. Leaks from fittings, valves, the drain, or the pressure relief valve are repairable. A leak from the tank itself isn't. Once the tank lining fails, the unit needs to be replaced. We'll tell you which one you have within minutes of inspecting it.

Do you repair commercial water heaters?

Yes. We repair commercial water heaters for restaurants, salons, multi-family properties, and small commercial buildings across the Phoenix metro.
